Audi Shows Off TT RS Racer

Audi recently announced they would bring their TT RS powered cars to the United States. Originally, these supercharged vehicles did not meet emissions standards for America. Audi may also be heading back to the DTM, the German Touring Car Championships racing. It may be doing so with the new TT RS race car.

This DTM-class Audi TT RS will be run by Raeder Motorsport, and will participate in two test races later this month. It's a race version of the TT RS Raeder's team developed in partnership with Audi's Technical Development and Quattro divisions.

Audi S1 Gets Re-Named


There are rumors circulating the automotive websites, and apparently started by PistonHeads.com, that Audi's S1 (not available in the United States until 2012 earliest) is already getting a name change.

Audi considered using the S1 name for the range-topping A1 1.4 TFSI, which will be premiering at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, but later chose not to put an 'S' label on the car.

Audi didn't want to dilute the 'S' badge's cache by applying it to a car without its famed Quattro all-wheel drive system. Those like the Quattro TT have the honor of…
