Audi S1 Spied On Test Course

The upcoming Audi A1 should be headed to dealerships in the United States any day now, but it won't be. Audi has no plans (as of now) to bring their small, two door hatchback to America.

Also unfortunate, Audi's smallest car may not be making the trans-Atlantic swim, their S1 version of the 2011 Audi A1 has been spied testing almost completely undisguised by the folks over at The Motor Authority.

The S1, basically a sportier version of Audi's upcoming A1, is expected to make its debut in Europe later this year or early next as a…

Volkswagen Phaeton Heading to America

Volkswagen's Phaeton is headed to America. Actually, it is more appropriate to say Phaeton is coming BACK to America. The car sold only 2,253 units here during 2004-2006. This was far below Volkswagen's annual sales target of 20,000 units.

This Jetta hybrid, among other VW hybrids planned for the near future, will contain the TwinDrive plug-in hybrid engine, in development since 2008.

The capability…

Audi 2011 A7 Sportback Revealed

Audi has officially unveiled the new A7 Sportback, which will go on sale for the 2011 model year.

Audi's 5-door, fastback is the auto maker's own unique foray into the sport coupe segment with rear passenger doors. Audi describes the car as a combination of "elegant coupe, sport sedan and practical wagon."

The A7 will feature a lightweight body made with aluminum components and high-tech steels, which will allow for it to be powered solely by a set of V6 engines - at least at first. Audi will likely come to add some V8 power plants to the mix…
